Using clips from the HBO "Real Time with Bill Maher" interview last Friday with former President Jimmy Carter and a 1961 argument from Ronald Reagan, I delineate a basic advantage of Democrats over Republicans and discuss how the Republican short term gains in the 2010 midterm elections may come at the expense of adding to the long term reputation of the Republican Party as uncaring and selfish that it's earned on issues like the minimum wage, workplace safety, social security and medicare, among others. This might be Super Tuesday - but there's nothing "super" about the Republican candidates running for President. In fact - there's nothing "super" about the Republican Party anymore. Thanks to this primary season - 40% of Americans say they have a less favorable view of the Republican Party than before the primaries began. What else do you expect when the candidates are forced to actually publicly reveal the Republican agenda - which means fighting to be number one guy to take away contraceptives from women, deny food stamps to struggling families, and cut taxes for the super rich while jacking them up on working people? Because it's a primary, this isn't a race to appeal to the broad majority of Americans - it's a race to appeal to the most selfish, most bigoted, and most greedy among Republican base voters.

During protest in Madison Wisconsin at the capitol republican assembly leader reveals the fact that he sold ou/screwed his own mother. Scott Walker wants strip collective bargaining from the working class and bust unions to kill the middle/working class.. I thought, "He would sell out/step over/screw his own mother for (insert selfish goal)" was just a saying, hyperbole. Turns out republicans are quite literally willing to screw their own mothers with out any remorse. No decency, no conscience, no shame, no regard for the laws/court orders.

And it starts in our own backyards. Let me introduce you to the Concord Project - a right-wing organization in charge of getting out the vote for Republicans. Last year - the Concord Project expanded their get out the vote strategy beyond just traditional phone banking - canvassing - and putting up "vote Republican" signs - they decided to infiltrate local politics by encouraging Tea Partiers to become Precinct Committeemen.
